Conferences and Seminars


Administration, Management and Direct Service staff are encouraged to be continually trained and exposed to new ideas, philosophies and techniques.  This helps staff stay effective, efficient and feeling GOOD about the work they do!  Many resource materials and opportunities to learn exist at LifeSpan for staff to access whenever they wish.  

Some training takes place during regular staff meetings, others based on a particular person's Individual Person Centered Plan and some take place separate from the job.  Direct service employees who wish to work with children, must receive an additional 24 hours of training each year, while others who wish to work with people on the Autism Spectrum, must receive a special 9 module/18.5 hours of training. Many staff attend conferences, workshops, forums and classes based on their particular fields and interests.  The following is a list of some of the past and upcoming events routinely taken advantage of:
